Terms of Service for Monstera Cleaning Service


1. Agreement to Terms 

By using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. 


2. Services Provided 

Monstera Cleaning Services offers residential and commercial cleaning services. Specific services will be outlined in your service agreement or quote. Prices reflect only those services included in your service agreement or provided quote.


3. Scheduling and Availability  

Services are available by appointment. We will make every effort to accommodate your preferred schedule, but availability may vary. Clients will be notified of any changes.


4. Payment Terms  

Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed upon. Accepted payment methods include Cash, E-Transfer, or Certified Cheque. Late payments may incur additional fees.


i. A "late payment" will be considered a "non-payment" after 60 days from date of service. Non-payments may be sent to a collections agency. 


5. Cancellations and Rescheduling  

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made within this timeframe may incur a cancellation fee of 50% cost of service. Rescheduling requests are subject to availability. See Cancellation Policy in the section below for more details. 


6. Liability  

Monstera Cleaning Service is insured and bonded. While we take every precaution to prevent damage or loss of property, we are not responsible for any damages caused to personal property unless caused by our negligence. 


7. Client Responsibilities  

Clients are responsible for ensuring;

i. that the property in question is accessible. 

ii. that all valuable items are secured prior to our arrival.

iii. that any pets and animals are secured, and the area is free of undomesticated animals or vermin. 

iv. that any persons present during service treat staff with respect. 

v. that bio-waste, hazardous waste, or any waste that may be deemed hazardous is managed before our arrival. 


If access to the property is denied upon arrival, a cancellation fee may apply.


8. Changes to Terms 

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes.


9. Governing Law  

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes will be handled in the appropriate jurisdiction.


Cancellation Policy


1. Client Cancellation  

Clients may cancel scheduled services with at least 48 hours notice without penalty. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled service will incur a fee of up to 60% of cost of service.


Cancellations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis to account for extenuating circumstances and emergencies. 


2. Company Cancellation  

Monstera Cleaning Service reserves the right to cancel or reschedule services. In such cases, clients will be notified as soon as possible and offered the next available date for rescheduling.


3. Refunds  

Payment for completed service is non-refundable. Refunds for client cancellations will only be considered for payments made in advance of service if the cancellation policy is adhered to.


All deposits are non-refundable.
